(book pages, ink)
A flock of somethings (birds).
I only just realised that this would've been much less advent-y, had I not started this on the first advent, but on the first of December. But a part of me thinks that would've been cheating, and this way I'll get more art done. I have many books I haven't shown you here listed in my shop, and some books I have yet to take photos of. I have always wanted to do my best to keep this blog as an archive of books made (not every single one, though, some custom orders never end up posted here), as well as a place for my creativity related ramblings (and life related at times), but lately I've had my hands full with life itself.
This past year I've learned so much about myself (and others, in good and bad), about being an artist instead of a normal (sane) person with realistic plans for life (taking one day at a time seems to be the only way for me right now), about living alone for the first time in my life (pretty amazing, I do love my tiny home, even now that it's been turned into a cave). Sometimes when you've made it through a rough patch in your life, you take a deep breath and move on, just to find another rough patch waiting for you, but you're going to make it through that one too (because that's what you do!). Today I feel I have accomplished a lot. Sometimes you're stronger on your own. It is a wonderful moment when you realise trusting yourself, and your gut, is the right thing to do. You know you better than they do.
Take care of yourself (I may need you to be okay at a later date, too).
Thanks for being here, right now.
