Brooches. The first ones in a long time, not flowers this time, but embroidery stitches and cash registers and calculators and typewriters and other random things I've found from the neverending pages of my vintage encyclopaedias. I'm listing some of these to the Paperiaarre Etsy shop in the days to come. I also have some new books: case bound linen covered books finished and waiting to be listed, and new kind of coptic bindings in the making.

EDIT: hmm. I found a huge long forgotten stash of botanical brooches (+1 necklace), so there will be more of those in the shop too, soon.

(Pining after my old homes, with space and light and hardwood floors and wide window sills. I will be moving again soon, I wish I could find some place nice AND affordable. The downsides of becoming a student... The dream flats are always just a little too far out of reach. I remember last August when I was hunting for a home, I went to see the most beautiful flat I've ever seen. The open house was packed with people. I heard one boy, who had already made a reservation on the flat, talk to the land agent about really wanting the flat. He told he was an English philology student. The land agent was really pleased, English students must be good tenants. This year I'm the English student, but I'm never getting that flat with light blue-gray wood floors and perfect windows. Or anything even close to that. Feeling a bit hopeless today. It will pass. That little flat still haunts me, though. The house was probably the first things I showed to V when he first started to come see me in Turku. It doesn't look that special from the outside, but I still pretty much remember every detail of the flat itself. I remember even having a dream of it, but in the dream it was even more spacious than it was in real life.)
