It’s not that bad after all.

I’ve been working on a surprise gift and making some books too. More about them later. Grumpy customers are sucking my energy little by little, but I’m still very pleased with my job. Lot’s of nice people too (even though they seem to have been in the minority for the last week or so) and who could resist working in a library? I have more evening shifts than usual this week, so I’m still being a lousy blogger. Yesterday was a disaster day, but after seeing these two photos I took yesterday on my way to and from work, I can hardly complain.

Sprinklers by the river bank. The library is just around the corner.

And on my way back home: fabric chandeliers hanging from a tree. Huh?

Not serious + short post due to technical difficulties

For some reason Blogger doesn’t want some of my photos to stay in landscape format and flips them 90 degrees. I’m not going to fight with Blogger after a hard day’s work. So just one book for you today. Here’s a newly finished custom wedding guest book/album. Dark gray pages and dusty light blue linen covers. White gocco flowers (that I love). 8″x9″, many pages (80-90).

This week has been almost all work and no play. (Trust me, you don’t want to be in the reception of city library when literature, art and music department is closed for the summer due to move. Many of our customers were taken by surprise.) I’m trying to learn and not take myself too seriously, so I played along when daskaninchen posted this. Conceptual paper portrait project definitely sounds something you’d like to be a part of 🙂

Now I can go back to taking myself too seriously.
